About

The blog
For years, I kept an offline journal to write about the books I read and the (video/PC) games I played. In 2005, I decided to do this with a blog (I started with blogger) because I like the possibilities I have in writing online (e.g. links, pictures). I kept it private the whole time I was there. I also decided to do it in English which is a warning: English isn’t my first language – funny sounding sentences and errors in grammar ahead!

At the end of May 2008, I made the switch to wordpress.com from blogger. There was no special reason for it, I just wanted to try wordpress. I also changed the setting of the blog from a (mostly) private blog to a semi-public blog, meaning search engines like google won’t be able to pick it up (bloglines does somehow) but everything else works just fine (as far as I know). In January, 2009, I turned the blog completely public.

I mostly write about the romance novels I read, along with books from other genres from time to time. I also like to read non-fiction but I think I won’t write about that because with my occasional posts about (video) games, this blog is pretty much all over the place already.

Me
I’m female, in my thirties and live in one of the bigger cities in Germany. I moved to this city together with The Boyfriend in September 2007. Even though we’re far away from where we lived together for the last ten years or so, we don’t regret the move. We like it here and we feel right at home.

    Hi Taja!
I hopped on over here from Kristie J’s blog and just wanted to say hello and welcome to “public” blogging!

I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts on books and games… but mostly the books. πŸ™‚

    Take care!
    Christine

    Thank you, Christine!

I seldom wrote about games the last months but I’ll definitely write about “Okami” – it’s really a special game. And I know video games are not as interesting to other people as they (sometimes) can be to me. πŸ™‚ And that’s okay.

    Take care too.
