Some Songs That Make Me Want To Dance

During the last few weeks, I had a lot of things on my mind. I was more busy (well, I still am) than I’m used to and my reading suffered.

I prefer to read a novel as fast as possible. If I can read only a few pages each day or half an hour, I often get no real sense of the story. This also means that a novel is usually in trouble if I have no problem putting the book down even though I would have time to read on.

When I have a lot going on, I usually play more games because it helps me to relax and take my mind of things. Or I like to dance to relax (like yesterday after I found out I was played for a fool by someone and I got angry with myself that I had ignored my gut feeling about that person). Well, “dance” is probably too fine a word for it, just moving to the music, that’s what I do.

So yesterday, I turned up the volume on my mp3 player and skipped around the living room.

(This post is of course also a good excuse to procrastinate and waste time on youtube.)

Santana – Smooth (feat. Rob Thomas)

This is very probably the uncontested #1 among the songs that make me want to dance.

Kim Wilde – The Second Time

Very eighties, the quality of the video is not very good, and the end is missing but I love this song.

The Killers – Human

Texas Lightning – No No Never

This is not really my kind of music (country) but this song just cheers me up whenever I hear it. Sadly, I couldn’t find a video where everything fitted. So no link.

Pink – So what

I can’t link to the official video because of some rights restrictions here in Germany.

Pixies – Where is my Mind

This one is a given – my favorite song.
