Back Again
Hi there, yesterday I came back from our vacation on Kos. I must say, even after being away for just two weeks, blogging feels a bit strange. I’m sorry I didn’t answer the comments here on the blog sooner but I’m not really comfortable using a public PC for checking my emails and blog. Besides, the hotel only offered internet access for one hour (5 Euro) and I thought that a bit much for what I wanted to do. But thank you for commenting anyway. It was really nice seeing the comments when I came back.
Besides the comments, I also came back to 30 spam comments here on the blog and nearly 1000 posts in my feed reader. Most of the posts there I marked as read – sorry! – though I looked at the title and first line of every one. But nearly 1000 – that’s just too intimidating to wade through after being offline for two weeks although I marked a few for reading later. (We’ll see how that turns out. *cough*)
I’ll post a few photos of our vacation in the next days. I need to sort them first. For now, here’s a breakdown of our vacation in numbers:
- # of days away: 14
- # of days the sun was shining: 14
- # of days it was hot (> 30 C/86 F): 14
- # of days it rained: 0
- # of days we had a car: 7
- # of photos taken: > 750 (I love memory cards!)
- # of sunburns: 3 (only slight sunburns, gone the next day. The first one I got on my right ear on our first day. I didn’t think of sun protection there!)
- # of times I ate more than I should have: every breakfast and dinner
- # of books read: 4 and a half
- # of audiobooks listened to: 1
- # of songs listened to: A LOT (love my mp3 player)
- # of time I felt good: all the time

hi Taja!!
So glad to see you back! and I know what you mean, getting back into blogging! It’s hard LOL.
Wow, sounds like you had a great vacation!!
LOL, love your little compilation!! Can’t wait to read your reviews for the 4.5 books you read! LOL
Glad that you had a great time
Welcome back to regular life
Hey … WELCOME BACK! That’s wonderful you’ve had such a fantastic vacation. And NEVER feel guilty about eating more when on vacation – you’re supposed to!
Thanks for your welcome backs, you two!
Nath – hi!
Yes, regular life needs some getting used to again. No longer being able to look at a buffet to decide what to eat is especially difficult LOL. The half book is Brandon Sanderson’s The Hero of Ages. It’s the last book in a fantasy trilogy and coming in at nearly 800 pages. *g*
Jace – hi!
I love to eat! So I don’t exactly feel guilty. I’m just wondering why because I would say breakfast and dinner are things that still need some improvement. Obviously it was not bad *g* but to live up to the beautiful surrounding… it “should” be a bit better. But then, a buffet always seduces me into eating more than I normally do. And I loved the chocolate cream cakes for dessert. LOL
Oh! I LOVE Your vacation stats!!!! It sounds like a perfect vacation. I’m so happy for you and The Boyfriend.
Thanks, Christine. It was a rather perfect vacation.
